The Story

The Oxford Midi 180 Electric Hoist offers outstanding performance and is an excellent addition to community and nursing environments where space constraints may cause issues.

Great features:

  • 2-point spreader bar
  • LCD Battery level indicator
  • High-grade, easy-push castors
  • Low profile for clearance under most furniture
  • Braked rear castors for added safety
  • Detachable battery pack

Navigates tight spaces

The legs on the Oxford Midi 180 Electric Hoist are adjustable, using an ergonomic foot pedal, and lock into position to avoid accidental opening. This mechanism has a latch/lock feature, so the legs can be opened or closed to gain easy access around objects like beds, chairs and wheelchairs.

Convenient and safe to use

This high-quality hoist features Smart™ Monitor diagnostic and service controls as standard, with a safe working load of 180kg (28 stone). The handheld controller promotes independent patient use, so the carer can free both hands to provide support.

The Oxford Midi has an excellent emergency lift – a spring-loaded mechanical lowering device that will only operate under load. The device must be twisted by hand to activate a slow and safe descent.

This hoist has an angled boom to assist with lifting from the floor and a large push handle that makes it easy to manoeuvre. It also features a detachable battery pack and desktop charger. The spreader bar is padded for additional patient safety, and the hoist is available in three spreader bar sizes.

Optional Class III digital weigh-scale, and available with an electric leg option. Available in electric or hydraulic versions.

Please note:

Sling is not included and would need to be purchased separately.

Before its first use, the hoist must be assembled and commissioned by a ‘competent person’ to establish the assembly was correct and safe. All patient lifting equipment needs to be LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) tested every 6 months.
